Okay, so a lot of the same questions are being asked all over the board, and it's getting pretty out of hand seeing "Is X confirmed for Y type" or "Will X evolve" in every thread, so let's create a general Q&A thread for those questions that have been long answered, but some people just aren't in the loop for.
--------------------------------------------------------THE POKÉMON
STARTERS
Chespin -> Quilladin -> Chesnaught. Grass type, and Chesnaught is Grass/Fighting. High Attack, Defence and Health, Low Special Attack and Speed
Fennekin -> Braixen -> Delphox. Fire Type, and Delphox is Psychic. High Special Attack, Special Defence and Speed, low Defences
Froakie -> Frogadier -> Greninja. Water Type, and Greninja is Dark. High Attack, Special Attack and Speed, Poor Defences and Health.
THE STARTERS DO NOT RECEIVE MEGA-EVOLUTIONS, AND NEITHER DO THE OTHER POKÉMON OF KALOS.
Helioptile -> Heliolisk. Normal/Electric. 2 Stage Line. Evolves using Sun Stone.
Bunnelby -> Diggersby. Normal and Normal/Ground. Evolves via Level Up.
Swirlix -> Slurpuff. Both pure Fairy. Evolution method unknown.
Spritzee -> Aromatisse. Both pure Fairy. Evolution method unknown.
Flabébe -> Floette -> Florges. First stage is Fairy, second and third are unknown. Evolution method is unknown.
The flower Flabébe is holding changes colour depending on which colour flowers were nearby when you caught it. It continues to hold this flower as Floette, though it is unknown how it will effect Florges.
Furfrou is a single stage Normal type Pokémon. It can be groomed to be given several different appearances. Its physical defence is pretty low, but it gets an ability which halves physical damage to compensate.
Fletchling -> Fletchinder -> Talonflame. First stage is Normal/Flying, becomes Fire/Flying. Evolves via Level Up.
Binacle -> Barbaracle. Both Rock and Water. Evolution method unknown. Let it be known that Barbaracle the Barbarian will destroy all that you hold dear. Pray for mercy.
Inkay -> Malamar. Psychic/Dark. Evolves at level 27 by turning the 3ds upside down. 2 stage. Surprisingly, it's a Physical based Pokémon.
Dedenne is a single stage. Fairy/Electric. Regional electric mouse, but also pretty sugar-kawaii.
Skrelp is Water/Poison. Has an evolution, but its type and name are unknown. Although Clauncher evolves at level 37, Skrelp does not.
Clauncher -> Clawitzer. 2 stage, both pure Water. Evolves at level 37. Manliest claw you ever did see.
Skiddo -> Gogoat. 2 stage, both Grass. Presumably evolves via level up. You can ride both during certain portions of the game.
Scatterbug -> Spewpa -> Vivillon. Bug, Bug and Bug/Flying. Evolves via level up. Becomes Vivillon extremely quickly, which has several wing patterns such as a darker coloured Polar pattern.
Pancham -> Pangoro. 2 stage. Fighting and Dark/Fighting. Evolves at level 37 if there is a Dark type on your team.
Sylveon. Fairy Type Eeveelution. Evolution method is completely unknown and no one's had it yet.
Tyrunt -> Tyrantrum. Rock/Dragon Fossil. Obtained sometime between the Second and Third gym.
Amaura -> Aurorus. Rock/Ice Fossil. Obtained sometime between the Second and Third gym.
Aerodactyl is also obtainable around the time of these two fossils.
Litleo -> Pyroar. Fire/Normal Two-Stage line. Immense physical difference between Male and Female Pyroar.
Bergmite -> Avalugg. Ice type Two-Stage line. Another 'bulky' Ice type which sucks, but it looks pretty awesome.
Espurr -> Meowstick. Psychic type. Each Gender of Meowstick has seperate appearance and movesent, with male focusing on Support and female focusing on Offense. Both Meowstic genders take up the same Pokédex slot. It does NOT have an evolution, that slot is taken by Kekleon.
Honedge -> Doublade -> Aegislash. All Steel/Ghost. Honedge evolves via level up, but Doublade is unknown. Aegislash has two forms, referred to as 'Offensive' and 'Defencive' stance which differ greatly in appearance. During offensive form, Aegislash is an animated sword wielding a shield, whereas in the defensive form the sword withdraws into the shield to resemble a coat of arms.
Carbink is single stage. Fairy/Rock. God-tier Defence.
Hawlucha is single stage. Fighting/Flying. God-tier Attack.
Phantump -> Trevenant (Orotto). Ghost/Grass. Method is unknown.
Pumpkaboo -> Gourgheist. Ghost/Grass. Method is unknown. Gourgheist has at least 2 forms, described as 'Small' and 'Large', with perhaps more existing.
Klefki is single stage, Fairy/Steel
Goomy -> Sliggoo -> Goodra. Goomy and Sliggoo are pure Dragon, Goodra is unknown. Goomy evolves via levelling, Sliggoo is unknown.
NOTHING is known about Noivern other than what is on the Pokémon site. No one has discovered it yet, or anything resembling a pre-evo.
--------------------------------------------------THE MEGAS
Mega Evolutions each have a specific stone dedicated to them. The methods for finding them vary. Some are given as gifts, others are found. Aerodactyl's mega stone, for instance, is found inside a rock.
Confirmed Mega Evolutions are:
Charizard X
Charizard Y
Venusaur
Blastoise
Kangaskhan
Aerodactyl
Absol
Ampharos
Mawile
Blaziken
Lucario
Abomasnow
Gyarados
Gengar
Garchomp
An early game review accidentally revealed a mega-evolution for Gardevoir, but quickly removed the statement.
A Mega-evolution for Sableye seems possible due to heavy focus, but insofar nothing has been found.
NO PREVIOUS-GEN POKÉMON SAVE EEVEE HAVE BEEN REVEALED TO RECEIVE ANY NON-MEGA EVOLUTIONS AS OF YET.

--------------------------------------------------POKÉBANK AND POKÉTRANSFER
Pokémon Bank is a downloadable 3DS service with a yearly fee of $4.99. (Prices in other regions still unavailable). The service allows you to transport your Pokémon from your Pokémon games into an online box system capable of holding three thousand Pokémon.
- Pokémon transferred from Black and White CANNOT be transferred back to Black and White
>Pokémon CANNOT be holding items
>Only Pokémon from Black/White, Black2/White2 can be transferred to X/Y.
>You may store Pokémon from as many games as you like.
>PC Boxes are still available in-game, don't panic!
>You can easily move several Pokémon at once
>Pokémon bank is required to use Pokétransfer. They are companion software
>There is a free trial period for the bank which lasts 30 days. This is reported to start in late December.
Poké-Transfer/Poké-Transporter is an application downloaded alongside Pokémon Bank.
Once this software is downloaded, you can insert any Black/White/Black2/White2 cartridge into the 3DS to transfer the Pokémon within into the Pokémon bank.
Pokémon that are recognised as hacked or illegal by detection standards will be rejected from the transfer.
---------------------------------------------HORDE POKÉMON AND AIR BATTLES
Hoard Pokémon encounters are when a group of Pokémon attack your Pokémon all at once.
- You may only use one Pokémon in horde battles
- Horde Pokémon are only half the level of regular wild Pokémon
- You may not catch a Pokémon from the horde until only one remains
- Horde's can consist of several species of Pokémon that bear a similarity or link with other species
- Such examples contain a group of Tauros and Miltank, a group of Trevenants with a Sudowoodo attempting to blend in, and a group of seviper which instantly turned on and slaughtered a Zangoose which was with them (so good luck catching that shiny Zangoose when it appears :3 )
- You get the regular amount of experience from defeating each horde Pokémon. Enjoy abusing your All-target attacks.
Air Battles are special battles which take place in the sky. From what we've seen so far, only Pokémon with the Flying type or Levitate are allowed to take part, though it's been reported that there may be some exceptions. I for one, welcome our new propeller-Dodrio overlords.
---------------------------------------------VARIOUS DETAILS
-TM'S are STILL reusable!
-/vp/ has two reliable leakers. Zar has beaten the champion, Josh has beaten the fourth gym. They both revealed a boatload of new content to us (fresh and ready to be stolen for upvotes).
-SomethingAwful has a leaker named Kanpachi. He's proves very reliable, but SomethingAwful is a pay2view forum, so you're best waiting until /vp/ gets a hold of his leaks (to then be reblogged everywhere).
